Finest Girl Nigeria is designed to create a platform where super models can contribute their quarter towards the development of Nigeria via culture and tourism.
Mr. Barry Avotu CEO - FGN
Founded by Barry Avotu Johnson 1st in 2000 but hosted the first edition in 2008 with Queen Ochanya jessica Ebute as the 1st ever winner beating 29 beautiful contestants who represented their states at the Nicon hotel in Abuja. In 2009 Queen Jenifer Omokoro from Delta state won with high margin of sms votes under the audience of 2,500 people at the International Conference Center Abuja
The FGN event grew bigger and decided to host its 3rd edition at the Grand Hotel in Asaba the Delta state capital where Queen Mary Anyaole Adams from Benue state won 36 other models with a total sms votes of 12,400. The event progressed stronger as the 2011 edition was hosted at the Isa kontogora Cultural center in makurdi with Queen Esther Yaji winning the crown but dethrowned and was replaced by the 2nd position Queen Ladi Solomon from kogi state
The 2012 edition went to the Confluence Beach hotels in lokoja the kogi state capital with the hall overflowing into the river like a miracle. In that event Queen Biobele Sekegha won other 36 contestants with a long margin of sms votes but with only 6 months of services as FGN winner she was also dethrowned for the display of the attitude of insubordination and negligence of duty and was replaced by the 2nd winner queen Hafsat Ibrahim, Nigeria's 1st all Muslim beauty pageant Queens in Nigeria. She did very well as a FGN 2013 queen and handed over to queen Blessing ochanya James at the Oba Akenzuwa cultural center in Benin city the Edo state capital in the eyes of a 2.500 seating capacity.
Queen Blessing James is 21 years old studying Accounting at the Nasarawa State University keFfi. She has "CAP child attitude project" as her official pet project. And the CAP project has gained a lot of support from most Nigerians. With almost N20m donated to the project so far and the FGN organization has designed the project to carry values of supporting children from all over the nation.
Barry Avotu Johnson 1st is the founder/CEO of the event and he has influence in almost all the credible beauty pageants in Nigeria over the years. He is the current National president of the umbrella body regulating beauty pageants in Nigeria ~ Association of beauty Pageant Organizations of Nigeria "ABPON". He was a pioneer staff of Daar communications PLC owners of Africa Independent
Television (Ait) and (Raypower), TV and Radio stations in Nigeria. He owns the Blackink Nigeria Communications the original company which owns and control the activities of the Finest Girl Nigeria event and other events too like the newest Bigsister TV reality show, an all female TV project to promote more of the life style of the Nigerian woman

If Benin City was pulled into action as the 2013 FGN grand finale event as a total sold out, we wonder what will happen in Makurdi 29th May 2014. In 2011 it was a great event even under the eyes of the rain. Benue fun seekers are known for their pragmatic character of supporting every good event to the fullest by turning out in their thousands to see for themselves how a new winner will be made. The crowd in Benin was a perfect one and we expect the same in Makurdi as the state Government has made positive indications of being part of the sponsorship supporting machinery to hosting a superlative event
